Il Museo, fondato nel 1894 da Pio Capponi, a cui è dedicato, è ospitato nella medievale Torre dei Rosa. Sebbene depauperato nel corso dell’ultimo conflitto, esso conserva ancora numerosi reperti, in particolare di epoca romana, provenienti dalla città e dal suo territorio. Altri reperti sono visibili all’interno dell’atrio comunale.

The Museum occupies the medieval Torre dei Rosa; its is dedicated to Pio Capponi who founded it in 1894. Even if a series of thefts were a committed during the last world war, the museum still keeps a lot of objects, especially belonging to the Roman period, found in the town and in its neighbourhood. Other finds are displayed in the entrance to the Town Hall.
